Los Guayres, represented by chef Ruymán González and Octavio Acosta, took part in the opening dinner of the XXVII San Sebastián Gastronomika 2025 Congress, held at the emblematic Palacio Miramar. This event, regarded as one of Spain’s most prestigious culinary gatherings, brought together leading chefs and professionals from across the gastronomic world.
During the dinner, the Los Guayres team presented their tapa “Bluefin Tuna, Beetroot, and Beurre Blanc of Chochos (Lupins)”, which generated great interest among attendees and highlighted both the creativity and local products of Gran Canaria.
Chef Ruymán González noted: “Taking part in the opening dinner of the XXVII San Sebastián Gastronomika Congress 2025 has been an honor and a truly special experience. We are deeply grateful for the warm reception and the opportunity to share our cuisine with some of the great names of Spanish gastronomy. Events like this inspire us to keep showcasing the essence of our island and to strengthen bonds with other professionals in the industry".
Los Guayres participated as part of the Gran Canaria delegation, under the umbrella of the Gran Canaria Me Gusta program — an initiative by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and Minister Minerva Alonso, with the support of the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce and Gastronomic Projects — aimed at promoting the potential of local cuisine and products on one of the world’s most prestigious culinary stages.
Through this participation, Los Guayres reaffirms its commitment to promoting and elevating Canarian gastronomy on the country’s leading culinary platforms.
