The three promoters of the spectacular Cordial Santa Águeda Resort, the Gran Canaria hotel chain Be Cordial Hotels & Resorts, the local footballer David Jiménez Silva and the del Castillo Family, have always believed that it is necessary not only to dignify the use and enjoyment of this unique coastal space, but also to contribute to the union of two environments so united by history and the passing of time. From this moment on, El Puerto de Arguineguín and El Pajar will be connected by foot along the coast, thus opening the way for the future tourist and economic development of the area.
But the commitment of Resort Cordial Santa Águeda does not end with the walk. Aware of the importance not only of the environment but also of the sporting interest of the famous wave at Punta de El Perchel, the one that "breaks right", it has made an effort to minimize the impact of the intervention on the coast, maintaining Callao and preserving this natural phenomenon that attracts so many surfers and bodysurfers from all over the world, being as sensitive as possible to this widespread sport.
With a private investment of more than 2 million euros, the opening of the Paseo Marítimo of the Cordial Santa Águeda Resort, with its 384 linear metres and 1,800 square metres of surface area, will connect the marine neighbourhoods of El Pajar and La Playa de Arguineguín; the preservation of one of the most appreciated waves by the surfers who come to this part of the island; the construction, which will be completed in 2021, of one of the largest Beach Clubs in the Canary Islands, "Perchel Beach Club", of more than 7. 000 square metres, aimed at the families; and finally, and what is already a reality, the inauguration of the 87 luxury, spacious, comfortable holiday homes at Cordial Santa Águeda Resort, a new destination that will bring quality and economic growth to both sides of the Arguineguín Ravine.
