Emotion and Pride: Alberto Pernalete and Los Guayres Honoured at the Santa Marta Awards 2025
- The evening began with a heartfelt tribute to Alberto Pernalete, where his impeccable professional career and human qualities were fondly remembered by the entire tourism sector family.
On 29 July 2025, the Santa Marta Hospitality Awards Gala, organised by the Tourism Department of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Council, paid an emotional tribute to Alberto Pernalete, who served as Operations Director of Cordial Hotels & Resorts. His legacy remains deeply present in every corner of our company, in every team he inspired and in every project he led with passion, dedication and humanity. The presentation of the award to his wife and son, amidst a moving ovation, was a testament to the respect and affection he nurtured throughout his career.
During the ceremony, his son, Leandro Noel Pernalete, expressed on behalf of the family their gratitude for a recognition “that was truly special for him, as it came from his own colleagues in the profession”, and recalled how his father devoted his life to hospitality with enthusiasm, dedication and generosity. “We are deeply moved by the way he is remembered: as a professional, colleague, friend and, above all, as an exceptional person,” he said, visibly touched.
On that same evening, Los Guayres Restaurant, the culinary jewel of our group, was distinguished for its excellence, creativity and commitment to offering a dining experience that goes beyond taste alone. This award is a well-deserved reflection of the passionate work of a team that puts its heart into every dish and has succeeded in elevating Canarian cuisine to the level it truly deserves.
